Wendy Eklund joins the Shrub Oak team with extensive experience designing student life experiences that provide engaging, enriching opportunities for students. After earning a Bachelors in Psychology from Goucher College, Ms. Eklund went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Business Administration, and advanced certificates in Human Resource Management and Emergency Management from Adelphi University. Throughout her career, Ms. Eklund has developed student-centered curriculum to foster productive learning environments beyond the classroom, identified ways to improve student experiences and engagement in the residences, and provided support for students and families transitioning to college. She works closely with the clinical and academic teams to design student-centered activities, athletic and wellness opportunities, nurturing residential spaces and much more. Overseeing Residence Life, Student Activities, Athletics, Dining, and Health and Wellness, Ms. Eklund’s focus is to ensure an individualized experience for every Shrub Oak student, designed for each unique passion and goal. Ms. Eklund is also a member of the Council for Exceptional Children and the Division on Autism and Developmental Disabilities.
