Tiffany Nelson

Education Coordinator

Tiffany began her journey in special education during her undergraduate experience at Rutgers University where she received her bachelor’s degree in childhood studies as well as teaching certifications in general education and special education. Having relocated shortly after graduating, Tiffany extended her certifications to New York State, and dove into her career with students on the autism spectrum, working with students ages 3-21 in a therapeutic setting. Wanting to be a part of something new and exciting, Tiffany joined the Shrub Oak team as a special education teacher, and has since transitioned to the role of Education Coordinator, providing support to teachers both in and out of the classroom. Her priorities continue to be focusing on the students’ individual differences and passions; the relationships she creates with her students and their families; and working to create positive and individualized learning experiences for all.

Tiffany is Developmental Individual-Differences Relationship-based model (DIR) certified. She received her master’s degree in education from Liberty University.
