Wendy Eklund joined the Shrub Oak team with extensive administrative experience in higher education residential life and the design of comprehensive student life experiences. After spending the past two years designing, building and supervising the student life program at Shrub Oak, Ms. Eklund has entered into a new role, in which she will support overall management of campus programs and events, and administrative systems to ensure all aspects of campus management run effectively. Throughout her career, Ms. Eklund has developed student-centered curriculum, improved administrative processes, planned and implemented campus events, and provided support for collaboration between departments on large scale projects. Overseeing Dining, and Health and Wellness, Ms. Eklund’s focus is to ensure the programs are individualized for every Shrub Oak student and designed to meet each student’s unique needs.
Ms. Eklund earned a Bachelors in Psychology from Goucher College, Master’s Degree in Business Administration, and advanced certificates in Human Resource Management and Emergency Management from Adelphi University. She is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. Ms. Eklund is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children’s Division on Autism and Developmental Disabilities, and the Association for Behavior Analysis International.
