Rachel is a licensed clinical therapist and certified school social worker with more than a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. She has worked in various mental health settings including school and day treatment programs, inpatient hospitals, and residential treatment, and has experience working with clients of all ages addressing depression, anxiety, anger management, trauma, mood disorders, major life changes, family conflict, and school problems. In previous therapeutic settings, Rachel’s work focused on relational therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and other psychoanalytic modalities. She is excited to utilize her skills and experience as a member of the Shrub Oak admissions team.
Rachel graduated from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College with a master’s degree in social work, specializing in children, youth, and families. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, playing tennis, and traveling.
