Andrew Dillenbeck, LCSW-R

Director, The Pines at Shrub Oak

Andrew is an experienced clinician and administrator with more than 15 years of experience in mental health treatment and more than 10 years specifically in adolescent residential mental health treatment. Andrew has held various roles within residential treatment programs including Clinician, Clinical Director, Assistant Program Director, and Director of Evidence Based Practice. Through these roles he has developed a thorough understanding of the nuanced complexities of residential care, and what it takes to provide holistic best-practice treatment to youth with significant emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, and their families. Andrew believes firmly that for youth and their families to experience success in treatment, it requires an individualized approach in the context of a safe space that allows for healing, learning, and growth.

Andrew is clinically licensed in New York, has a Master of Social Work (MSW), and is in the final stages of completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA). In both direct practice and leadership roles, Andrew has extensive experience serving youth with diagnostic presentations including autism, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, psychosis and trauma, and managing behaviors including aggression, suicidality, self-harm, and elopement. Andrew also has had training in numerous clinical treatment models including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Family Therapy.

Outside of work Andrew enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time outdoors with his wife and two young children.
