Jill Locke, Ph.D.

Shrub Oak International School Advisory Board

Jill Locke is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington (UW) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Co-Director at the UW School Mental Health, Assessment, Research, and Training (SMART) Center, and research faculty at the Seattle Children’s Autism Center. To date, her research has focused on the: 1) presentation of social impairment for autistic youth in inclusive school settings; 2) identification of best practices for autistic youth; and 3) understanding of successful implementation and sustainment of evidence-based practices (EBPs) for autistic youth in public school settings. More recently, her research aims to develop and test implementation strategies to support the uptake and implementation of autism EBPs in public schools. Her research and expertise around interventions for autistic youth in schools are a tremendous asset to the Shrub Oak International School Board.
